Location was excellent, a lot of nature around and peace. Hotel looks very good and clean, room is big enough and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Spa area was also excellent, but a bit busy. Parking spots were enough and right in front of the hotel. Overall a great experience, we'll surely come back especially at summer when the outside pool is opened.

Alba Iulia's walled city was a surprising cluster of food stands and tourist trinket kiosks and rides for children. It was loud and busy. One museum was closed, and the Roman museum had busts of Roman rulers and pillars and other stone objects. Children will love it, but history-seekers might not.

Majestic city built inside a 16th century medieval fortress, keeping all the historical elements it is famous for. Many accomodations to choose from. Some great restaurants and diners. Open air swimming pools are available around the city. Nearby you can also find a forest and a great hilly area which provide a great panoramic view of the city.

Alba Iulia is a touristic town, full of history (the biggest fortress in Romania), with great connections by road ( A10, A1 ) , train or plane ( Sibiu Airport 50 minutes away and Cluj Napoca 1 h. 15 minutes ). There are very good restaurants with reasonable prices - Vila Preciosa or Pub13, for example. Plenty of cultural events are going on, every month. Don't miss the changing of guards on Saturdays and Sundays from 12.00. Also, Fridays, at 19.00 there is a Daco - Romans Fighting Show. Don't miss the History Museum and Sala Uniri ( where the unification act was signed on 1st of December 1918 ). There is a new and nice museum for icons - Museikon.ro. The cathedrals - catholic "Sf Mihail" - the oldest and longest in Romania, and orthodox - The Coronation Cathedral, where King Mihai 1 was crowned in 1922. Have fun!

Pleasant experience overall, not only inside the fortress, but also walking on the cobbled pathway between the two external walls of the bastion, where nowadays there are benches, ornamental trees and even a small pond with exotic fish. There are a few cafes and food vans inside the citadel, so the visitors could recharge themselves while walking between statues, churches and museums.

This is a city in Romania which is really prepared for tourism, above all the expectations that we had. There are QR codes on the streets and on the main attractions, English speaking in every museum and restaurant that we entered.

I visited the city for a music festival held at RYMA spaces, inside the fortress.
The fortress is well preserved and has a lot of wonderful sights and attractions. It has been restored and looks great.
However, the city itself is not that cool - it does not have too much to offer, except for the fortress and historical center, of course. It is unkempt and, with the exception of the modern center, rather poorly maintained. The roads are terrible - potholes, roadworks, poor traffic management, etc..
If you are not attending a festival/other event, spending more than one night here is too much.
We loved everything about our stay! The Room, the Spa, the restaurant, they were All very clean, and the food was delicious.
Also everyone was very polite and nice.
We loved the Spa, because it had a lot of options ,including massages, which were great.
And everything looked great, loved the garden .
Also appreciated that the mini bar was full, something that I haven’t found in a while at other hotels.
The price-quality were above expectations.
We will definately be back :)
The dining room was a great place for breakfast. There was a buffet but also waiter service. The reception was brilliant and very helpful indeed. The bedroom and bathroom facilities were outstanding. This hotel has to be seen to be believed! My stay in this wonderful hotel was faultless. The main reason for visiting Alba Iulia would be to see the great and historic Citadel. You could not be any closer to it than here!
We liked everything this apartment had to offer, it was very clean and comfortable. Recently decorated, with a scandivian vibe, and super clean white sheets, it’s definetly the perfect choice for a family with kids (it also has a convertible sofa bed).
The hosts are super nice and reliable.
This is for sure our place to stay whenever we will visit Alba Iulia next time.
Perfect place to stay and relax for a while. The property is privately owned by very friendly people. The rooms and garden is exactly like you see on the pictures. Everything is done with great taste and very comfortable. We planned to stay only one night, but booked another just to stay a little longer. Next time when we'll be around Alba Iulia, we'll be back.
The apartment is right in the center of the city as has a wonderful view. One of the balconies is huge, more of a terrace and there is enough space for more people to enjoy the morning coffee or even breakfast. The host is wonderful, friendly and helpful. I recommend it to anyone who would like to visit Alba Iulia and will surely be back there again!
I came with my husband and 2 children on a roadtrip through Romania. Marylou was a fantastic place to stay in. It deserves all the best grades. Breakfast was diverse and fresh and tasty. Location as well. Walking distance from the main attraction, fortress. It was comfortable, clean and the staff was polite and welcoming.
Very nice and clean hotel. Room comfortable with all the amenities, except an electrical charging point for phone and laptop.
I would like to mention Ms
Elena, hotel's manager, for her warm welcome and guiding us to other interesting places, around Alba Julia.
Definetevly, a good value for money!

The room was bigger than expected, very worm and clean. We had a bottle of wine and some chocolates in the room for free. There are a couple of parking spaces inside the property, but there are plenty outside for a more than reasonable price. Only 5-7 minutes to walk up to the Alba Iulia fortress.
The place is quiet / discreet and nearby city center. After a nice trip over the day, in this place you will find out all energies for another day. This place is a very good choice for visit Alba Iulia. The host was very kind and helpful. We want to come back here, for sure.
Everything was superlative. Accommodation in the citadel area of Alba Iulia that combines old and modern design. Very varied breakfast. Free parking available on site. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend a stay at Carolina Heritage Hotel!

Everything was amazing! Very beautiful and cozy and welcoming place, everything was absolutely perfect! Also, very good location, right in the center of Alba Iulia, right near Alba Iulia Citadel
Very modern design. Everything was new (furniture/appliances).
Location is perfect, with parking place (covered parking place).
10 minutes away from the Alba Iulia citadel/center.
Great aparment for a trip to Alba Iulia, it is relatively central located and is very good equipped with everything you need. Parking space nr. 63 is available for the apartment.
