This is a lovely place to stay to visit Mont St Michel! The staff was so helpful when we arrived early. We got into our room early, and could start to the island. The room was clean and comfortable.

Location to Mount St. Michel is perfect. The restaurant Le Pre Sale was better than expected.

Location of both rooms afforded great views of the town and bay. The breakfast was varied and adequate.

We followed travel advice and arrived very late in the afternoon. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at a restaurant just after the entrance to the island and then climbed the stairs to our accommodation. The island was quiet and peaceful as all the day trippers had gone. In the morning we enjoyed an early breakfast at the restaurant and were ready to enter the abbey at 9 AM with only a small group of people. Upon leaving the crowds were growing as we had heard they would, and we were glad we followed the advice we had been given. Take time to explore all the passageways and the cemetery. Be warned that you will climb literally hundreds of steps.

A magical place best viewed in early morning or late afternoon evening. Otherwise, there are a lot of tourists clogging the narrow medieval streets. I recommend an overnight stay to fully enjoy this place.

This is an iconic location to visit.
This is an iconic location to visit. But like many tourist experiences, it is drifting a little into theme park territory. The abbey is many years past being used in a religious context (in part because it was converted into a prison by Napoleon after the revolution). So the cathedral has lost some of its soul. But the history is rich, and the location is amazing. The views are wonderful, and after the tourists have left for the day, the island is well worth exploring.

The Abbey tour itself was nice, but the mob we had to struggle thru to get there was a nightmare. And when we were done with the tour? Wall to Wall humanity. As if they dropped Euro Disney into the middle of the medieval walkways. We were here the first week of May, before the U.S. tourists even started arriving. I cannot imagine how awful this would have been with even more people. This is a magnificent place, well worth seeing ... FROM A DISTANCE. The walkways to the Mont were utterly jammed with people, and after a 40 minute wait the shuttles were stuffed like sardines. STAY AWAY! (Or maybe go in February or something). Take a photo from a distance and KEEP ON DRIVING.

The shuttles from the hotel complex are free and run every 10mns or so. It's also a lovely 2km walk from the hotel if you want to avoid the packed shuttle.
Don't bother spending a fortune on the hotels as they're all in the same place and are all about the same really.
The restaurant Le Pré Salé is the best and is a must if you're into good food. Book early though!
I recommend going in the evening to the mont st michel after 3pm when crowds start to leave. We went around 12pm and it was very busy despite it being a Monday mid season.
The self guided audio tour is great and well worth it.
And food is outrageously expensive in the Mont village and really not so good. Best bring a picnic and save your money for a nice restaurant in the evening.
All this said, a fabulous day out!

Mont St Michel is wonderful to visit.
Mont St Michel is wonderful to visit. The accommodation however was very poor and in an annex which was hard to find. The room was small and in very bad condition. Light switch hanging off the wall, tv and bedside lights did not work and space very limited. We had to persuade the restaurant staff that we had prepaid for dinner! Would certainly pick another hotel if we returned, which we won’t.

The room and bathroom were very propre.
The staff is invisible)
At the restaurants we were not even asked the numbet of our room)
Side view of Mont St.-Michel.
Beautiful panoramic view of Mont St.-Michel at the restaurant hall, for breakfast also.
For cars they propose direct access near the hotel that has the closest location to Mont St.-Michel.
And just near the hotel there is a stop of the shuttle (every 15 min) that brings you directly to the island
The hotel has a very excellent location.
Very close to the 'saint-michel'
The hotel can be very very proud for his staff . because they make this hotel to what it is .
There was plenty of place to park your car near the hotel .
( 9€80 each day isn't cheap, but it's a regular price you pay when you would visit 'saint-michel' on any other location too )
We were here with our little dog .
And we were very happy he could join us to this place .
The location as many have said is great. The navette (shuttle ) to Le Mont Saint Michelle stops right in front of the hotel
But I never saw the Hotel shuttle. This navette is the same that takes you from the bus stop if you are coming on the bus.
My single room was very small but enough for me. It wouldn’t be confortable for two people.
you get the basics for $150 dollars a night, but I think you are paying for the location
The staff were friendly, accomodating and just warm in all of our interactions on every occasion. The hotel accomodation is really clean and well maintained, its close to the entrance of the island. We stayed just one night but the team helped get us a reservation at a good restaurant on the island and helped organise the best times for touring the abbey etc. Highly recommended and the cribs for a baby are excellent!
It was good to be on the island in the morning and to be able to explore it before the crowds came in the late morning.
The included breakfast was excellent, with cold meats, warm eggs, a selection of cheeses, beautiful breads and delicious juices.
The staff were friendly, though I wish the receptionist had walked us to our annex building when we first checked in.
Mont Saint Michel is a majestic place and the hotel room itself was also situated in a great location with marvellous views. Compared to other options on the island, this is a good choice in terms of value for money. Comfortable, properly equipped and pretty.
We had a buffet breakfast in the morning that was to our liking and had plenty options.
Right on the island of Mt Saint Michel…..one of the few hotels there. Accommodations were fine, small, but that was expected. Staff was great. Restaurant adequate. Breakfast excellent. It was expensive for one night, but that too was expected because of where we were. It was magical spending the night on Mt. Saint Michel!
It was an authentic stay on the island. Historical building and large room & bathroom. All facilities you would expect were offered in the room. A quiet night and very nice start of the day the following morning. We didn’t mind the steps, what else would you expect on a hill? We took that into account when packing.
The view of Mont St-Michel from the room is good. The location is best for walking to St-Michel as it is the nearest hotel to St-Michel and the shuttle service stops just outside the hotel. Parking is easy to get to.
hotel is one of the first before the passarelle to mont saint michel and you can see it from the small balcon. Nice breakfast. You can have your car near the hotel with the code provided 24hr before your booking
Incredibly basic room (a kettle would have been nice). But great location for access to Mont St Michel. Easy car parking in front. Very friendly staff. Basic breakfast. Restaurant nearby for dinner was ok
The only reason to stay at this hotel is the location. I wanted to stay on the Mont, and was willing to pay the high price for a mediocre room. Sadly, poor staff service made the experience unpleasant.
Great location, 1 min walk to the shuttle to Mont St Michel, or a 30 minute walk to the island. Comfortable rooms. Restaurants right nearby. Good buffet breakfast for cheap.
Fabulous stay. Spacious room. Very kind staff. Closest of all hotels to Le Mont Saint Michel. Convenient Navette to the Abbaye from the hotel. Great breakfast.
