The people/locals are extremely friendly and helpful.
Some of the bus routes/stops could have been clearer ie 225/226 from Cork City centre to the airport - random bus sign with no number marking outside a hotel however bus drivers were super helpful with directions.
The Blarney Castle was worth the visit if you like Gardens and history. Fitzgerald Park was a bit of a trek and wasn't really that exciting.. Good if you want some quiet time in nature in a OK park. However the English market is great with lots of choice of worldwide foods, seafood stalls were impressive and the poke bowls and sandwiches were also mega for takeaway options.

It was my first ever trip in Irland and Cork was a great introduction. I first visited the Nano Nagle Centre, then went up to Shanagarry for the night, had an amazing dinner at Ballymaloe before moving on to Blarneythe following day. Rising Sons Brewery is a great venue and the brewery tour is very interesting. Maureen's is also a great bar, very comfortable and the decoration is enchanting. Finally, Blarney Castle and Gardens are amazing.

Lots of hustle and bustle, there were a good amount of street entertainers/ buskers. A good selection of shops. The energy was great overall. I noticed a lot more homeless people than the last time I was there. A strong smell of pee from some of the streets.

We stayed in Cork because it was central to other things we wanted to see. That was a mistake. Cork is just a big city. Not overly pretty, not much to do. The English Market is very active and interesting. There are many restaurants and bars. We accidentally booked an apt on a busy street, and it was noisy all night. I wouldn't recommend anybody visit Cork.

The city is very clean and tidy.
The city is very clean and tidy. A visit to the stunning University College of Cork and the lovely Fitzgerald Park can take about half a day each as they are both so amazing. There is a public museum and cafe in Fitzgerald Park. There are many lovely views of the River Lee both in the city centre and around. There are lots of green spaces and the people were friendly. I only went for 3 days on a business trip but would have liked to have spent much more time there to see the other sights of interest such as the Blarney Castle, Cork Goal and Cobh - where the lovely coloured painted houses are. Two weeks in Cork would be ideal for me.
Have stayed at this particular hotel before. Only a short 10-15min walk to Cork Kent Station and into the city centre, so it's fairly well located.
Did not have any food, so can't speak about that.
Double room was a good size, one double bed and one single bed. Bed was comfy indeed. Standard facilities with kettle, iron, etc. Bathroom features bathtub & shower.
I'd recommend overall, but they might want to review their pricing strategy or at least include breakfast as standard.
Wow this is a stunning apartment right in the City centre and perfect for a romantic break. The apartment has every thing you need and it's finish is like a 5 star hotel. I could have watched the light show from the bathroom for hours😁 Also the little extras like bottled water, tea, coffee And even wine made our stay here one of our best yet. We will definitely be back. 5 stars....
The property itself was more secluded than expected but still in a lovely area. It’s definitely a stay for someone who is not pushed about being in the heart of the city centre.
The staff were also some of the most accommodating, friendly and helpful that I have ever encountered in a hotel. They will go above and beyond and are certainly one of the main reasons I’ll be back.
We liked everything about the hotel from the friendliness and efficiency of the front desk staff at both checkin and checkout, the clean, comfortable room and all facilities, the ambiance of the lobby bar and the top floor bar. We also liked the location of the hotel, very convenient to the city centre, shops, bars, restaurants etc.
The hotel was located in a privileged area, just near the city centre. You can find the bus station and Oliver Plunkett st. just at the other side of the bridge. The staff was really nice and helpful. The room always had coffee, tea and water available to use at any time.
We've stayed here before and hopefully will again. The staff is super attentive. The hotel is clean and well located in the Shandon area of Cork City. I love the large lobby where we can sit visit. Thanks for hosting the Mother Jones Festival - that's why we came.
Nicely updated hotel right outside of Cork City center- walking distance to the English Market, restaurants, and shops. Nice breakfast option too! Was nice since we were driving that you could get to the hotel without driving right through the center of the city.
Gorgeous, clean, spacious and modern rooms with art TVs, Nespresso machines, bath etc. Perfect city centre location in a quiet nook by the river. Friendly and accomodating staff that are very helpful. Lovely hotel if you want a bit of luxury, I recommended it.
Perfect for a weekend away, newly renovated, very spacious room and bathroom. It is close enough to the city centre that we could get a taxi in and out with ease. Plenty of parking out the front and easy access to the motorway to explore county cork.
Hotel is situated a short walk from the city centre, bars and restaurants, bus and a little further the train station. A very modern hotel with good sized rooms,a good relaxing bar and a nice restaurant. bathroom and shower were also a good size.
Hotel with a historical flair. Excellent location in walking distance to the train station as well as the city centre. Our room was a bit hidden away from the elevators but we had a nice view on the river in exchange.
Renovated hotel with great facilities and spacious rooms. Location is also very good, right next to a shopping mall and main street. Although a little bit far from Cork, there is a bus going to the city centre 24/7.
The hotel is gorgeous and the room was very comfortable and spacious. It is a great location in the city centre, next to shops and lots of places to eat or have a drink with music playing most nights.
We traveled Ireland for 8 nights, our stop at The Dean was by far our favorite lodging. Staff was excellent and the room was perfect. If I'm ever on Cork again we will undoubtedly stay here again!
Excellent hotel, the staff were very friendly and the food is exceptional. The rooms are modern with lots of space. Would highly recommend if looking to stay in a hotel near cork city!
